Join me for a great morning on the shores of Lake Huron. This area will allow our group to capture the sunrise lighting up Michigan’s first lighthouse and still maintain safe and proper social distancing. Like many of you I am anxious to get out and get shooting.
We start our day at the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse in Port Huron for a 5:45am sunrise coming off Lake Huron. Then, we head down to the area under the Blue Water Bridges and Edison Train Depot. If luck is with us, maybe a freighter will be heading under the bridges in front of us. We can also head over to Lakeside Cemetery which dates back to 1877.
I would bring a variety of lenses from wide to telephoto and a tripod. We will be working out of the car for most of this, but the best shots of the lighthouse at sunrise are from the sand beach in front of it.
I will be demonstrating using a drone to capture the Lighthouse. If you have been interested in this exciting type of photography, this is a good oppurtunity to see what is about.
Please contact, via email, the team leader to ask any questions about this event. Thank you!
