Oak Hill Cemetery On June 1, 1822, the Pontiac Company gave the citizens of Pontiac the first land for a village cemetery. it was "to be occupied and used forever as a burying ground." The cemetery contains the Buckland Memorial Chapel, built of Berea sandstone in 1898 by Don Carlos Buckland.
This Cemetery has some very unique head stones and memorials. It has been cared for as well as others cemeteries in the the area, but that also lends to the charm. From a number of mausoleums a wide variety of headstone and monuments should make for a good day of photography.
