Bring out your cameras and lets learn about different techniques to help you make photographs and not just snap pictures. Timothy Griffin will show many different ways to use your camera to add a creative aspect to you images.
Detroit, A city that has seen more than its share of ups and downs for over 300 years. Join us to photograph a variety of areas and subjects. We will start our day by parking in a structure that has wonderful murals on the different floors of the garage.
Then some very cool graffiti in alley's in the area. From there we board the Detroit People Mover. As we move from stop to stop, get off and without leaving the platform, photograph the city from and angle view people ever notice. Let’s not forget the tile work and murals that adorn the platforms. And back on the next train to the next stop. As long as you don’t exit the platform, you don’t have to pay again. Don’t overlook going to the very front or back car and shoot out the window as we move. Creativity is the word for the day.
And for anyone who has ridden the People MOver in the past, They have switched the direction of travel for the first time in over 10 years. It will give a whole different perspective.
We will shoot until around 3:00 with a break for lunch in the Campus Martius area (bring a packed lunch or there are a lot of places in the area to grab lunch).
This event is approriate for ages 12 and up. Particpants will be asked to sign a waiver to attend this event.
